The Vineyards

The hamlet’s beautiful vineyards spread like an open book along the valley floor, facing south-west and enjoying excellent exposure at an ideal altitude ranging from 500 to 550 meters above sea level.

The soil rich in marl and limestone, with an important rocky substratum, is ideal for producing excellent Sangiovese grapes as well as other varieties such as Pinot Noir and Merlot, vines that are perfectly at home in this outstanding terroir.

The 60 hectares of the estate, of which 15 are devoted to grape growing, are skillfully arranged and tended to obtain excellent quality wines. Sangiovese, the area’s “noble vine,” is used for Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva, while the Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes give their best in Il Cenno and Il Tocco, respectively.

The Pinot Noir grapes are also the protagonists in Colle B, the metodo classico sparkling wine which, thanks to its clearly recognizable and well-defined identity, has quickly become a favorite among those who love bubbles.
